The expression "blurred landscape" used to describe what emerged after the Trump-Putin meeting in Alaska (supposedly aimed at a "peace agreement" on the war in Ukraine) is perhaps the smallest cover-up in the river of analyses that deliberately distort the reality the peoples of the world are faced with!
The Alaska summit, in which Putin, who is being prosecuted by the International Court of Justice, was received on the red carpet on American soil, confirmed in principle that the unjust war in Ukraine is at the heart of the raging imperialist antagonisms, at the heart of the preparations for the next world war.
Behind the “blur” agreements that currently do not exist lies the unresolved character of this unjust massacre, since neither the US-West can accept a defeat of strategic importance for its own ambitions, nor can Russia give up the pursuit of consolidating its successes in the field, which, if they are indeed consolidated, will make it an imperialist power with a global role.
The so-called "land swap" is nothing other than Russia's demand that the West recognise as Russian territory the four regions (Lugansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya, Kherson) that the Kremlin has already declared as Russian territory, even in the parts it has not yet occupied. In return, Russia could withdraw from parts of the territory it has occupied in Kharkiv and Sumy.
In parallel and inseparable from the “exchange of territories”, the contradictions re. the so-called “security guarantees” are reappearing and evolving. For Russia, these guarantees mean not only the non-membership of Ukraine in NATO, but also the de-westernisation of the part of Ukraine that will not be Russian territory. On the contrary, for the US-West, ‘security guarantees’ mean the deployment – in whatever form – of large military forces in ‘free’ Ukraine!
It is characteristic of the escalation of war risks and the stalemate that, in view of a supposed “peace agreement”, plans are being put forward to arm Ukraine with 100 billion euros and to formulate a “security treaty” that would copy NATO’s Article 5 on behalf of the West, without Ukraine belonging to NATO. As well as that “little” Finland has “suddenly” found itself at the table of the big killers because it shares a 1,300 km long border with Russia!
The Imperialists therefore have no “blur” image about what they are aiming at and where they are aiming at. And they have no inhibition about the devastation and bloodbath of the peoples that their aspirations mean. Their maneuvers are only about overcoming their inconsistencies and problems in the process of realizing their goals. These inconsistencies and these problems are expressed in the US’s regressions and through the vagaries of Trump. Moreover, the US staff are already promoting responses to the Russian successes in Ukraine, seeking to strategically entrench Moscow, but also to ground China and block the modern silk road, with the Zangezur corridor, with their interventions in the Middle East and the Eastern Mediterranean.
Equally ruthless are the “second class” murderers, the European imperialists, who, under the guise of “security and freedom of Europe”, claim an enhanced role in the slaughter of its peoples and proactively defend … the strategic patronage of the USA in the old continent!
Given these facts, the “analyses” about “new Yalta”, but also the alleged “denunciations” about “sharing the booty and rare lands of Ukraine”, are a smokescreen, a cover-up of the trajectory of the war developments. Because they promise “peace”, even if it comes from the cynicism and interests of the great powers! The basic common ground of these considerations is that they seek to keep the peoples and our people in the role of spectators of the global disaster prepared by the imperialists.
However, just as the slogan “FREEDOM TO PALESTINE” is hollow and false, if it is not accompanied by “VICTORY TO THE PALESTINIAN RESISTANCE” and refers the “solution” to the UN, the EU or the Parliament, a “criticism” of the cynicism of the imperialists is equally hollow and false, if it does not point out the course of preparation for war, if it does not call the peoples, our people and the youth, to an anti-imperialist-anti-war uprising and struggle in a country that is a stronghold and base of the US-NATO murderers.
