International Meeting, 29, 30/11 and 1/12 2002

It was very successful the three-day international meeting organized by the initiative Thessaloniki Resistance 2003 in Thessaloniki, in the aim for a better preparation of the international demonstration in June 2003 during the EU Summit.

In the premises of University of Thessaloniki, a very fruitful debate and dialogue took place on current affairs. Opening the preparation for the international demonstration, Thessaloniki Resistance 2003 wanted to send a clear and multiple message. The period we live can be proved important for the perspectives of a contemporary and revolutionary Left, for the widening of its audiences, for breaking the dividing lines within peoples who want to fight. It became clear that there are the conditions and the will for opening a wider dialogue beyond the divisions of the various initiatives.
Thessaloniki Resistance 2003 proposed the preparation for a mass anti-imperialist block as part of the international demonstration. The response of the international delegates was positive that this is possible. Already, various organizations are working on this direction (members of ILPS, Campo Antiimperialista etc.).

According to the organizers, this meeting is just the beginning. They are preparing various events and activities all over Greece.
