False Allegations of Security and Freedom in Iraq
In August 2003 the White House introduced a handbook titled: "RESULTS IN IRAQ: 100 DAYS TOWARD SECURITY & FREEEDOM". This, according to the White House, highlights what they call as the "successes" in Iraq.
The "success" of the occupation forces is summarized in 10 areas as follows: 10 voices of liberation, 10 signs of democracy, of a better society, of economic renewal, "cultural rebirth", a better infrastructure and civil services, 10 examples of international support of renewal Iraq, 10 improvements in the quality of the lives of Iraqi Children, 10 steps to improve the lives of Iraqi women and finally 10 ways the liberation of Iraq supports the war on terror.
The American regime was trying to convince the world that within 100 days security and freedom would be established in Iraq. It was not meant to convince Iraqis, as most of us knew the new colonialist occupation of Iraq will bring everyone good but not Iraqis.
The handbook claims a significant improvement in the lives of Iraqis after "Liberation". Here are some of these allegations:
Electricity is now more equitably distributed and more stable...!
The food distribution system is functioning!
Drugs are being supplied to hospitals and clinics!
A new Iraqi economy is being built on the principles of respect for the rule of law, and transparency!
A "representative government" is being established and "human rights andfreedom" are being enshrined!
It is not that difficult for us to expose these allegations. But where shall we start?
Shall we talk about the rarely existent electricity in most areas of Iraq? Or about drugs and medicines that are sold in the streets of Baghdad without any observation. Or shall we talk about the unknown diseases caused by the Depleted Uranium and the White Phosphor used by the aggressors.
The health conditions in Iraq are now in a far worse condition than ever; poor sanitation in many hospitals and shortages of drugs. Where is our health?
Where is our money? On the 13 of March 2006, the Independent newspaper has exposed the first comprehensive investigation into British corporate investment in Iraq. British businesses have profited by at least 1.1 billion pounds since occupation forces occupied Iraq three years ago.
One of the British companies got contracts for 500 million pounds to "repair the electricity in Iraq"! Which electricity have they repaired? And where is the rule of law and the transparency they were talking about?
Beside the basic needs like electricity food and medicine, it is now becoming a luxury to talk about your rights as a human.
Humiliation and torture by the occupation and police forces are systematic. When talking about human rights shadows of Abu Ghreib and Al Gadhiryia prisons will pass through your mind. Stories of sexual humiliation and harassment of male and female prisoners will break through your heads and conscience.
The plan of 100 days to establish freedom in Iraq is nothing but a lie to be added to the hundred lies the American and British governments have used to invade and occupy Iraq.
We are now more than 1000 days away from publishing this handbook. We can very easily judge the reality and the accuracy of the false allegations addressed in that book. We can easily prove to the whole world that occupation has brought nothing but misery to the Iraqis.
But rather than doing that, let us present you our 100 days handbook to liberate you.
We know that many people in the world are waiting for the result of the battle in Iraq. We all know that the success of the Iraqi Resistance means our and your liberation for the anti-imperialist power.
We address you now our "100 days towards liberation of Iraq".
Bring the battle in Iraq in your media. Show the real face of our heroic Resistance fighters. Expose the ugly face of the fundamentalist Iraqi marionette regime and that of the occupation forces.
Put pressure for an international recognition of the foreign occupation of Iraq. And put pressure towards boycotting the current marionette regime in Iraq appointed by the occupation.
Recognize internationally the Iraqi Resistance. Initiate talks between your political parties and governments and patriotic Iraqi individuals and organizations.
Support the Iraqi Resistance by all means; politically, morally and financially. Any support from individuals, organizations, political parties and governments is needed.
Support the Iraqi people to help them continue the struggle. Families of Resistance fighters, sons and daughters need to survive and to continue the struggle.
And finally: Copy the Iraqi Resistance experience and strategy to your country and fight for your liberation from the economic, cultural and military occupation. Fight for your own liberation.
To the White House, to all those who have supported the occupation and helped to prolong the misery of the Iraqi people, we say: There is still some time for you to apologize to the Iraqi people. Leave our country and save your lives.
To those who support our Resistance: hand in hand we can liberate the world from the American imperialism in 100 days.
