Dear comrades and friends

On behalf of the ILPS I’d like to express our warmest greeting of solidarity to all participants in the International Anti-imperialist Anti-capitalist Meeting in Athens. We especially wish to thank our Greek hosts that have worked so hard to facilitate these discussion and dialogue possible.
Let me use this opportunity to extend our solidarity with the people of Greece and their heroic legacy of resistance against imperialism and fascism. The heroic revolutionary legacy of the working class and oppressed people in Greece is an inseparable part of the international peoples struggle against imperialism and reaction and for national and social liberation.
We salute the common struggle of the Greek, Turkish and Cypriot people and intend to make every effort to facilitate the better coordination of the common struggle of the people against imperialism and its puppets in this region.
I’d like also to use opportunity to invite you to join us in celebrating the fifth anniversary of the establishment of the ILPS that was formed on May 25-27, 2001 in Zuphten, Netherlands at its first international assembly.
Since then ILPS has become a formidable rally point for democratic and anti-imperialist forces around the world with over 350 mass organisations from 40 countries of the world.
We hope that this initiative in Athens too will add to past success of the democratic and anti-imperialist forces and will facilitate better coordination and unity of the democratic and anti-imperialist forces in our common struggle and in the course of the efforts to build up peoples organised resistance against imperialism and reaction.
The ILPS chairperson Prof Jose Maria Sison has dispatch a letter of solidarity to International Anti-imperialist anti–capitalist meeting that our organisation was proud to sponsor from its inception.
