This year all progressive mankind celebrates 90th anniversary of Great October Socialist Revolution. I send the comradely greetings from MLPU to all delegates of our Conference. All reactionary elements say that the October revolution was historically defeated. However, it has nothing to do with real being. Marxist-Leninist movement is clearly reflects and understands the laws of social development; and therefore clearly declares that socialism may have local problems and temporary defeats, but in global historical perspective it may not be defeated; and there is no alternative then socialism under Marxist-Leninist banner.
Marxist-Leninist movement of Ukraine is on the beginning stage of its re-establishment. Just at this moment, as never before, the invaluable experience of October and real bolshevism is extremely important for us.
We are Marxist-Leninists. We are standing on the scientific analysis of all world events and phenomenon, considering the primary base of all of it as materials essence of being. We consider ourselves as continuers of proletarian line and international traditions of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, Bolshevik party, Communist Party of China of Mao Tsedong time. We are standing for building of mass workers organizations and strong vanguard workers party, which will lead the masses in the struggle for class, national, sexual, age gender and all other forms of oppression by the way of replacing of capitalist system with communist one.
As Maoists, we consider that class struggle between bourgeoisie and proletariat in other forms are continuing also under socialism. And the arena of this struggle is ruling communist party. We consider that after death of I.V. Stalin in 1953, the power in USSR was seized by Khrushovite revisionists, who moved the working class out from the ruling position, began to conduct anti-Bolshevik, bourgeois-bureaucratic policy, conducted the capitalist restoration in Soviet Union (in particular, Ukraine) and some other states of former socialist camp, replacing the socialism in these countries with the power of party neo-bourgeoisie, i.e. social imperialism. We consider that socialism, which politically could be only the dictatorship of working people under the leadership of proletariat, is necessary step toward communism – the system without inequality and oppression. We consider Soviet Russia and USSR under V.I. Lenin and I.V. Stalin (1917-1953) and China under Mao Tsedong (1949-1976) as the example of conducting of such dictatorship.
We are standing for full smashing of economic bases of capitalism, expropriation of all bourgeois ownership in the benefit of all people and seizing of social and political power by presently oppressed masses. It was just the tasks of Great October Socialist Revolution, 90th anniversary of which we are presently celebrating. The owners of the world should be those, who really produce all material and cultural values, but not those, who misappropriate it.
Our party, the Marxist Leninist Party of Ukraine, unites those young people, who studied together the history and practice of world revolutionary movement, including theoretical heritage of Mao, and came to the conclusion about clear revisionist character of CP and its youth organization Komsomol as well as other fake left parties and organizations in Ukraine. Also we came to the conclusion about the necessity of building of genuine revolutionary anti-revisionist party in Ukraine as part of real world Marxist-Leninist revolutionary movement. At the moment we see ourselves as the nuclear of such a party. Marxist-Leninist movement in Ukraine is developing in the hard struggle against revisionism and revisionists.
There is number of parties and groups in Ukraine which claim to be revolutionary and/or left-wing. But the analysis of their programs and activities proves its revisionist nature. Among them:
Communist Party of Ukraine. This party is heir of social-imperialist CPSU in Ukraine. At the moment, like in a lot of other countries, CP is the part of bourgeois establishment, respectable parliament party.
Communist Party of Ukraine (renewed). It is right-wing split from CP. This party openly calls for “rethinking” of Soviet experience toward unification of communist and capitalist ideas.
Communist Party of Workers and Peasants. It is social-imperialist party, the ideal of which is Soviet Union of Brezhnev times.
Progressive Socialist Party of Ukraine. The program of this party is strange symbiosis of Trotskyite, pan-Slavic and religious ideas.
Union of Communists of Ukraine. It is social-imperialist group, which is standing on the positions of deification of Stalin. Apart with it, Union of Communists refuses to recognize social-imperialist nature of Soviet Union after Stalin’s death, insisting that USSR was socialist state until 1991.
VKPB (Ukrainian part of all-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks) – other social-imperialist group, with ideas, almost similar to Union of Communists.
Also there are some Trotskyite, semi- Trotskyite and other very small revisionist sects.
Despite relatively large number of organizations claimed to be left and revolutionary, neither of these parties and groups is really revolutionary. Under such conditions we think that our decision to build genuine Marxist-Leninist party from zero is adequate to present situation in Ukraine. And such a party could not be isolated from the world development and world revolutionary movement.
For liberation of proletariat and international solidarity in the class struggle and fight for communist re-establishment of the world! Our task is building of communist society
